If you're bringing dogs, ensure they're comfortable with stairs due to the steep access to rooms.

great place but needs a refresh
The staff provided a genuinely warm welcome, which made us feel at home. Our twin room came with new bedding and a well-stocked tea and coffee tray, which added a nice touch to our stay.
The hotel and pub seem dated, which might detract from some guests' experiences.

Had a fantastic group vacation with friends! We enjoyed exploring Chessington World of Adventures and took lovely walks along the river. The staff were super friendly, and we loved the delicious breakfast. Just a heads up, the hotel doesn't have a lift, but the staff helped with our luggage.
We did have a little trouble with the internet not working well in our room, but it didn't ruin our fun.

The riverside setting provides a stunning view, with clean rooms and a friendly staff that genuinely cares about guests. Breakfast was freshly cooked and quite enjoyable. service during dining was frustratingly slow, which marred an otherwise pleasant experience. The bar area could use some modern updates to better match the charm of the surroundings.

Just a fine choice for a day tour in Walton-on-Thames with decent value for money. The food was great, especially the breakfast. If you can, request a room away from the bins to minimize noise at night.

The scenic garden area for dining offers lovely views of the river, ideal for outdoor meals. The unique historic building adds charm, making your experience feel special.
The bar area looks quite tired and could use some updating, which dampens the overall ambiance. My room had dated decor and some rough-around-the-edges furniture, while the bathroom showed signs of wear that could benefit from a refresh. Wi-Fi was unreliable during my stay, making it tough to stay connected. Common areas had a certain clutter, and the breakfast experience felt a bit haphazard, with limited seating and availability when service was slow.
